adding a new student

Hi Beth,

Is your KA class already synced with Google Classroom? That is generally the reason why the "Add new student" button is disabled. If that is the case, you'll need to add the student to Google Classroom first, which should then automatically update your roster.

If not, could you please submit a support ticket so that we can take a closer look at the problem?

It sounds like you're using Clever. To clarify, classes created through Clever don't have the Add new students option disabled as the information received from your school district’s SIS flows to Clever, then to Khan Academy, but not the other way around. New students should always be added to your district or schools’ SIS and you should not take any additional action in Khan Academy to add new students to the class.

Additionally, I'd also like to clarify that the usage of both Google Classroom and Clever Library at the same time is not currently supported. If you'd rather use Google Classroom instead of Clever, my best suggestion would be to manually create new classes through your teacher dashboard in Khan Academy.
