Khan Academy for Kids on Kindle Fire HD8

The "Khan Academy Kids" app is different from the regular "Khan Academy" mobile app and desktop site. If you created the accounts via the desktop site (www.khanacademy.org), then the accounts that you created are for the regular version of Khan Academy (2nd grade and beyond) and you need to download the regular Khan Academy mobile app instead.

If your child is in 1st grade or below, you will need to create a new account using the Khan Academy Kids app directly, since the accounts are entirely different for each app.

I started to prepare a support ticket as kindly suggested by @AD Baker. I always include "My steps" in tickets, so the ticket text would have been similar to my OP.

While writing the steps, I gradually began to notice what @Evan Lewis pointed out: the Khan Academy documentation contains millions of occurrences of the following text:

- "Khan Academy Kids"
- "Khan Academy for kids"
- "Khan Academy"...."kids"....

For three days, I had too keep five instances of Edge open. Each instance had about 7 or 8 pages relating to one or other of the three items listed above.

I normally shut down my laptop at night, but I was forced to hibernate for two nights in order to preserve the pages till the following day.

Not a single page specifically mentioned the difference that @Evan Lewis kindly pointed out :-(

I took a closer look at several of our support articles and noticed that the difference between the two Khan Academy apps is much clearer in the documentation for Khan Academy Kids (https://khankids.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) than it is here in this Help Center.

I've forwarded your feedback to the rest of the team so we can look into improving our support resources to better clarify the difference between "Khan Academy" and "Khan Academy Kids".
