Confusion over Exercise Minutes and Total Learning Minutes

The "Total Minutes" column in the activity report shows students' total active learning minutes, such as time spent watching videos, reading articles, completing exercises, etc. This does not include time spent navigating or time spent on other non-learning parts of the site.

The "Exercise Minutes" shows only the amount of time spent working on practice exercises, quizzes, and unit tests. This time does not include time spent watching videos or reading articles.

Another thing to note is that the Activity Overview report does not include time spent on the SAT practice. This is shown on a separate report located under the SAT tab in your classroom page. This report includes only a "Time Practiced" column that shows the total amount of time spent in the SAT area---this does not distinguish between learning minutes and practice minutes. However, you can also see the total number of practice questions that students have completed, which can give a good indication as to the amount of time they have spent on practice exercises exclusively.
