An alert when assigning an assignment that has already been assigned would be helpful for situations where you need to assign work by subject or topic
My request is for an alert message when assigning an assignment that has already been assigned. If you're wondering why that would even happen, I have students who have knowledge gaps so I need to assign work by subject and topic rather than grade or course, and then I may need to seek out the simpler content. The course names aren't always unique enough to distinguish differences (the descriptions help but still sometimes I find myself needing to open up videos and watch them, or open up exercises and look at the equations to make sure it isn't too challenging). I find that I'm trying to view all that is available on a topic and assign assignments from across topics (for example Algebra Basics, Algebra All Content and Algebra 1). It seems like it may be duplicative, but I can't tell. I search for a topic, check Math to filter by domain, and then literally go through however many pages of results are returned. (see picture 1 on link)
Then I go to view assignments in Manage Assignments and try to delete duplicates. This can be time-consuming because if they have similar names, I have to watch the video or view the questions to see if they are the same before deleting, and then they're not even always close together so I have to sift through the list. If I'd received an alert this could all be avoided. (see picture 2 on link)

Some other related suggestions that could be a workaround include all the names being unique so that I'd be better able to distinguish between them (for example, there is an adding polynomials Algebra 1 and an Adding polynomials Basic Algebra, but after I assign them and go to view assignments in Manage Assignments they both show up as just adding polynomials).
It would also be helpful to be able to export the list to Excel since sorting and searching is not feasible. By being able to Export, I could use Excel to search and sort to see if there is content in different courses w/ the same or similar names.
