New student not able to see assignments

If he joined your KA class late, then he should automatically have been given access to all of the currently active assignments in your class. However, he will not automatically be added to any assignments that are already past the due date. For him to have access to these, you will need to edit the assignment and make sure his name is selected under the students dropdown field.

 

Since he's not seeing the Assignments tab on his Learner Homepage, this means that there are currently no assignments in your class that have been assigned to him. This usually happens when the "All students" option is not selected when creating assignments, resulting in some students not receiving the assignment.
