What's the deal with the Khan Academy API?

currently, for API on Khan Academy, you can go to the Unit: HTML/JS: Making webpages interactive on the computer programming course, and there you will find JS(JavaScript) and the DOM(Document Object Model) and different things like that which teaches you what API is what it is used for and how to connect it with JS as well as inside of your program/webpage.

Also, we have further information on it in the Unit: HTML/JS: Making webpages interactive with jQuery course which also shows you how to use it with jQuery if you were to learn that type of language.

As far as I know, most people (at least I did) learned about the API from others who reverse-engineered it. KA doesn't have formal documentation for it, so anything posted is unofficial and subject to change!

The KA API is a great resource and can be really powerful in your webpages! There are a few docs made by users and a couple tutorials, but I made my own combination of the two along with examples and a simple API editor a little under a year ago. Multiple users seem to have found it helpful so I don’t feel bad about recommending it.

The docs contain nearly all the GET requests you’ll find in Khan Academy (not including the Support Community) but I didn’t include any information about authenticating or PUT, POST, or DELETE requests because I didn’t understand them at the time. Even now I’m hesitant because they are so powerful and could be misused. Don’t worry though, there’s plenty of information there to become a KA API master with a little hard work.

I'm sorry, but that's not what I was looking for. I appreciate your help, but I'm actually asking how to use the Khan Academy API, not how to manipulate the DOM with JavaScript.

Quinn Hardbrook: I appreciate it. I will check that out. I found some tutorials and documentation created by Jett Burns, Matthius, as well as some others and I've been taking a read through that. I currently am looking to create a PUT request, however when I put one together using JavaScript, OhNoes seems to block it. The only thing he doesn't block is injecting a script tag, which gives me no means of making a PUT request, and only allows me to use GET.... So I kind of gave up.

Yeah, API requests for editing, creating, and deleting information are automatically blocked by the KA editor (even GET requests with authentication required). There are sneaky ways to get around this, but they’re a little complicated and are probably slightly against the guidelines :/

Wait, really? I gave up after learning about CORS, which is implemented at the browser level. I figured I could get around KA's restrictions, but not the chrome developers... But there's a way to do post requests on KA?
