Hi Khan Academy.
I am a Spanish teacher at the college level in California. I teach both face-to-face and online classes, and am constantly looking for more resources for students. I would love to see Khan Academy offer foreign language classes and or learning resources, and I'd be more than willing to help!
I am constantly looking for ways to improve my Spanish and French. The existing sites are good all over the web, but they usually have an alternative agenda, or the formats fluctuate...and I lose interest fast.
There is a growing appreciation for Khan Academies style, technique and consistent format that helps everyone learn.
Please, foreign languages would really be a welcome addition to the world! I would really like to learn from Nicole Carrier (the initiator of this question thread), and other teachers of global speech!
I learned from Sal Khan yesterday in a webinar that foreign language is a very attractive subject to include on Khan Academy, but that this isn't going to happen in the foreseeable future because the priorities at present are core curriculum: math english science, social studies, history, etc.
But he referred several time to other resources on the Internet for this purpose that are very good. He never said what those resources are. Does anyone have access to Sal to get him to expand on that?
