Moving a Student

How can we help?

I have a new student to my class but he has been at our site. How do I get him "off" his other math teacher's class and into my own class. I see his name on the roster of students, but I can't see him anywhere else. Help.

Hi Marty,

If the student has already added you as a teacher and appears on your Students page, then you should be able to add him to an existing class using the steps listed in this article: https://support.khanacademy.org/hc/en-us/articles/360030762612-How-do-I-add-existing-students-to-a-class-in-my-Teacher-Dashboard-

To get out of the other teacher's class, the student can go to the Teachers tab on their Learner Homepage. From here, they should see a "Remove" button next to their previous teacher's name.
