Why do others have badges that don't show up in my account?

This is due to the retirement of some of the KA badges, including the “Sub-Light Speed” Earth Badge. KA is moving on from its current code base which is also being retired.

We’re sorry that you weren’t able to get your hands on this badge, but keep striving and you can still earn the other badges.

That looks like a nice positive understatement.

Looks more like a retirement of 75% to 85% of badges than "some".

I don’t count them.

Yes, there were quite a few badges retired.  I may be getting ahead of things, but I would imagine that KA will have new badges available after the conversion from Mission to Mastery next month.

Some general replacements for Challenge Patches/Badges (the bulk retirees), probably.

For others, probably not.

Time will tell.
