Slowing Down the "Seizure-Inducing" Graphics

My students love to show off glitzy graphics using JavaScript. I teased them they were trying to give me seizure or something bad for eyes. We have not figured out how to slow down "random" function's speed.

Please help us to code differently so that we can enjoy some cool animations at slower speed.

Hi yoonsun.choe,

There is not currently a way (at least that I know of) to slow down "random". If you are wanting to create animations that don't change colors rapidly, "random" is not the way to go. I would recommend checking out some of the AdvancedJS lesson on scene management. This allows you to control when and how the colors change.

Hi there,

I should mention that the random() function is called so quickly because of the program's frameRate, which is by default 60 fps. You can slow this down with frameRate(fps).
