What reports does Khan Academy offer to [non-US partnership] administrators?

Updated

Khan Academy Districts provide a variety of reports for administrators to monitor the implementation of Khan Academy in their schools. In addition to the in-product reports, data can be exported into downloadable CSV files that administrators can use for further analysis. This article will give you an overview of each administrator report and the data download options Khan Academy offers to administrators.

Please note that these reports will vary based on the administrative unit selected, such as Regions, Divisions, Clusters, Blocks, Districts, Communes, etc used in your country.

  1. Administrator Homepage: This page gives administrators a high-level overview of a variety of data. The key features of the homepage are outlined below:
  • Activation Summary: shows the number of students who have been rostered, activated and started a Khan Academy activity
  • Skills to Proficient and Above Summary: Average that is calculated by taking the total number of skills that reached the Proficient or Mastered level by activated students in the district and dividing it by the total number of activated students
  • Learning Time Summary: Learning time by active students including Khanmigo usage
  • Skills Leveled up Summary: Average that is calculated by taking the total number of skills that reached the Attempted, Familiar, Proficient, or Mastered levels by activated students in the district and dividing it by the total number of activated students

  1. Activation Reports: These reports show the amount of users who are rostered with Khan Academy Districts, and whose accounts are successfully activated. Monitoring activation rates can be helpful for admins to see how many of the users in their district have their accounts ready to utilize the Khan Academy product, while also helping identify where additional support is needed to do so.

There are 3 report options to zoom into activation data:

  • Activation by Site
  • Activation by Grades: only available in the administrative unit immediately above schools
  • Activation by Teachers
    • To view the data in this report, ensure you select the lowest administrative unit in your partnership (which is the administrative unit immediately above schools)

  1. Progress Reports: These reports show Administrators how activated students in their district are progressing on the content they’ve been working on. These reports are highly customizable and give administrators the options to drill down into progress data broken down by:
  • Courses, By site, By Grades, By Teachers, or Skills
  1. To view the data in this report, ensure you select the lowest administrative unit in your partnership (which is the administrative unit immediately above schools)

In addition to these in-product reports, the Export Student Data section offers many customizable report options for administrators to download as CSV files.

These include:

  1. Overall student data
  2. Course progression data
  3. Skills progress data

  1. Mastery Report: This report allows you to view student progress toward mastery across a selected Khan Academy course. This report includes student progress only for courses that a teacher has added to their class.

The report provides an overview of Course Mastery progress, including:

  • Course Mastery over time
  • Overall performance by school
    • Number of students
    • Course Mastery completion
    • Weekly changes in progress
    • End-of-year goal
