What are Streaks and Course Levels?
Streaks and course levels celebrate your achievements by visually tracking your learning progress across Khan Academy.
Leveling up a skill to proficient or better will contribute to your streaks and course levels.
Streaks
To begin a streak, earn proficient in at least one skill.
To maintain your streak, achieve proficient in at least one new skill every week. The streak window runs from Monday at 12:00am to Sunday at 11:59pm (Pacific Time). If you level up before Sunday ends, your streak continues! If not, the streak ends and you'll need to start over. How long of a streak can you build?
Course levels
Think of course levels like your favorite video game. The more skills you achieve proficient in, the higher your level. Every time you earn proficient or better on a skill, you earn a skill point. As you earn more skill points, you go up in levels. Learn more about Mastery and proficiency levels here.
If you haven’t started a course yet, you’ll be at level 1. With each proficient skill you earn, you move closer to the next level. If you level down a Proficient skill, it will affect your standing.
Your current level and the number of skills needed to reach the next level are displayed.
