How do I use my Learning Paths Placements and how can I view the Placement report?
The Learning Paths Placement tab shows teachers the Khan Academy-recommended MAP RIT ranges for students to work on based on their most recent MAP Growth scores. In this tab, students whose names appear in blue have activated their accounts, and students whose names are in gray have not.
Raw scores appear in parentheses next to each student's name, and the page groups students based on their MAP RIT ranges. Clicking on an activated student's name will take you to their individual student report.
From the placements tab, select the test you want to assign to your students.
Once you have selected the test, from the Placement tab, teachers can choose to adjust goals based on their personal knowledge of students' levels or can opt to accept all recommendations set by Khan Academy by clicking on the "Assign placements" button at the top of the page. As new students activate, the button will reappear to prompt you to set their placements as well. Please note that the system will always take the students' most recent RIT scores, and they will update again once new scores are in.
If your district is using the Khan Academy + Learning Paths informed by MAP Growth product, in order to be able to see the Placements report:
- Click on the Reports tab on the left hand side of your Teacher dashboard. Be sure you have the class you are wanting to view reports for selected.
- Once you click into the Reports tab, you will see the option for Placements
-
From there, you will be able to see the student's name, their Instructional area, Placement score, Learning Minutes, Skills leveled up, Skills w/o progress, Progress this period, and Progress to date.
- Please note that you will be able to view All Instructional Areas, as well as toggle specific views if you prefer. Also, you will be able to choose your dates from the dropdown
