Assignments are not working

Hi, would love some help solving this issue.  I'm trying to assign a set of assignments to my class and for some reason every time I assign them they go into the scheduled tab without ever actually getting assigned.  I can view them in my scheduled tab, however they never actually move out of that.  I've triple checked that I'm not inputting the wrong dates on anything.  Its simply not working and I'm getting extremely frustrated.  In fact prior to today, whenever I created assignments it would instantly just show up under assigned.  I never had this issue where they even show up under the "scheduled" tab.  Pls Help!
