When I tried putting in "Mn³" it said "We could not understand your answer. Please check your answer for extra text or symbols. Give it another try!" So I tried putting in "Mn3", and "mn3" and it still said that. And the question was "What is the charge of a manganese ion with 22 electrons?" So help needed
It would help if you told us which course, unit, and lesson you were working on.
It looks like you are trying to give the name of the ion rather than the charge of the ion.
I found an exercise question that looks like that, and they want an integer in the first field, then you choose either "+" or "-" from the dropdown box to the right.

I'm not a chemistry expert, but I looked at the "Ions" article in KA's High School Chemistry course. The following is based on the examples in that article:
If the question were "What is the charge of a sodium ion with 10 electrons?", I think the answer would be "1+".
If the question were "What is the charge of a chloride ion with 18 electrons?", I think the answer would be "1-".
