Basic Accounting and Finance

I am a returning student to Grad School and need basic accounting and finance assistance.  The university I am with focuses on writing assistance but not accounting. It was suggested to come to Khan Academy.  However, I cannot find anything in basic accounting or finance.  Can you assist or direct me to another website?  I am desperate as even the professor could not provide another resource.  I need help understanding even basic terms.
