Overall Feedback

Hello I am a high school student in Texas and I would like to provide some insight to some of the issues that are came across by my peers and I. I would first like to start with the website. Khan academy is without a doubt a great resource to have and provides so much knowledge at a no cost. With that being said it would make a huge difference if some of the resources were more refined. To be specific I will acknowledge the few that are used the most by me personally. 1: The SAT/ PSAT lessons- Again these are great resources however they are not refined. The option where you are allowed to link your collegeboard is not quite helpful. The tool doesn’t specifically target the areas I struggle with, but simply bypasses it with going over everything I already mastered in with my “personalized plan”. Again this is in quotations because it is not targeting my problem areas. 2- The career option- The overall intent of this pane is good but I simply lacks in what most of your audience is looking for. From what I know most of your audience is high school or upperclass junior high. The column offers insights on career choices without direction. Many of us don’t have a direct choice for what we want to do yet. Offering test or regulation in this would allow students to purposefully use this resource rather than just mindlessly searching. Now I would like to elaborate on the app feature. The app itself it’s great as it allows mobile access to much needed tutorial. However, I does not come close in comparison to the quality of the website. The app itself is overall confusing and doesn’t give access to a highly significant amount of resources. I truly understand that these are free resources but improving the qualities of these softwares would improve its integrity and encourage more people want to use such an immensely helpful program.
