Assignments

Hi Michelle,

Have you enabled the coach role on your account?

To do this, go to your settings and scroll down to the section that says "Roles". Make sure that the "Teacher/Coach" box is checked and that you click save.

I believe you are also required to have created a least 1 class before creating assignments. If you haven't created a class yet, go to your coach dashboard and click "Add new class"

I have the same problem.  I cant assign assignments.  I have everything checked in settings.  Its treated me as I am the student. Please help

I'm having the same issue! I can't assign any content! I checked my settings and my role is teacher/coach, but there is no bar to assign when I browse content to assign. Help!!!

I am having the same problem. I cannot assign material as when I click on that button to go to the content, it does not give me the option to assign, but acts as though I am the learner instead of the coach. I also have the coach box checked in settings. Please help!

Hi everyone,

Are you still experiencing issues with assigning content?

Please note that Khan Academy will mostly look the same for both you and your students. You will be able to view videos, articles, and exercises just like the students can. However, there will be a toolbar above the video that allows you to create the assignment.

We're also in the works of improving the Coach Dashboard to make creating individual assignments and assignments in bulk easier.

Yes same problem.  Still can not assign assignments.  It acts like I am the learner.  Same issue that everyone else is reporting.  Please fix

This will open up the practice exercise, and an assignment toolbar will appear at the top of the screen: 

The Coach Dashboard has also recently been updated to include some new functionality to make creating assignments easier.
