emailing my whole class

Currently there is no way to send a message to your class. A feature like this would create some privacy issues, and could lead to misuse. For now, it would be best to collect their emails privately and create a group mailing list using your email system.

I don't understand the privacy issues.  They need an email address to sign up for Khan.  Why can't you set it up that when we request to email an entire class that it goes in as a BCC so all student email addresses are hidden?

Students under 13 actually don't need an email address to sign up. While yes, students > 13 do need emails to sign up, those emails are not publicly visible to anyone but themselves. Giving coaches access to their emails and allowing them to send off-site messages through our platform is where the privacy issues would come into play, as we have to be very careful with personal information.

Allowing coaches to message users directly on KA would be a lot more likely to happen than through email, but that would also cause moderation concerns, so I don't foresee such a feature being added any time soon.

As I said in my pervious message, the best workaround is to create a mailing list through your email provider and use that to contact your students. Making announcements on Google Classroom would also be a good solution, if you already use Google Classroom.
