Each skill is worth a total of 100 Mastery Points. As you practice skills and answer questions in quizzes, unit tests, and course challenges, your level for that skill will go up (or down, if you miss any questions in the course).
Moving to Familiar will earn you 50 of the 100 points. Leveling up to Proficient will get you to 80 points. Become Mastered in a skill to collect the total 100 available Mastery Points.

That's a good question. DO NOT do again the mastery unit. If you click on a course, (not on a specific topic inside the course), there's going to be something called a Mastery Challenge where there will be 6 questions, 2 of each type. If you successfully pass 2 exercises, you will level up that skill, if you do 1 wrong and 1 right you remain the same and you know what happens if you do both wrong. That way you can keep going when having some small things on proficient instead of doing again a unit test which might put in risk the other mastery points. Keep in mind that you will have to wait 12 hours for the next one, that's why is only recommended for when having small exercises on proficient but I guess you have that achieved based on the question.
