I have registered most of my students via Google Classroom; but not all were on our Google Classroom roster. I have 5 more to register. When I click "Add New Students" and it offers me the three choices, should I do the 2nd or 3rd choice.....or does it matter? I just want them all on the same footing. Thanks - Garry

In general, it is better if the teacher creates accounts for the students, as this will automatically add them to your classes and will allow you to manage their account settings (such as resetting their password if they forget it).
However, if the student already has a Khan Academy account, then it would be better to invite them to join with the class code using their existing account. This will allow them to keep all of their current mastery progress and avoid having to completely restart.
You can also have them create accounts for themselves and join with the class code, which may be preferable if you have a lot of students. However, please note that they can only do this if they are 13 or older, and this method generally leads to more issues with adding students to the correct classes since the teacher won't be able to manage their account settings and this requires the students to manually join with the class code.
