Please consider adding photography courses

I would really like to see some kind of photography courses on here someday. I'm an amateur photographer, I dream of working for National Geographic, and I'd like to think I'm pretty good; but I still have trouble understanding how to get the most out of my camera. Perhaps the intro course could be learning the basics of how your typical camera/DSLR works, and the rest of the courses could be intros into different techniques for different settings (i.e. weddings, sports, wildlife, landscapes, etc.).

I love the number of courses available on math and science and such, but I feel like there should also be some focus on art related courses that could help people, who are interested in those fields, advance in their education/career.

Hi Anna,

Thank you for your suggestion! The Khan Academy team is relatively busy with other things at the moment, but I'm sure they'll take your idea into consideration, you're not the only one who would want a photography course. :)

Though there is no Photography course created by Khan Academy, I would suggest the following:
1. Further ponder how you would want the course you request structured, and what you would want to see included. For example, I like to finely break down what I foresee as a good approach to a course structure if I can by bulleting and being very specific overall. [Specificity is highly encouraged in order to provide Khan Academy with the most amount of information as far as what is being requested. This also helps them (and you) brew new ideas! Since you are taking the time and effort to make a thoughtful suggestion, you are also strongly influencing what will make it on KA.]
2. Check out the existing partner content! I've recently been checking out partner content myself, and it has been rather fun. If you click the "Arts & Humanities subject header in the course list, you can scroll down to view the available content provided by partners. Many of these topics have videos on photography, and some have a few exercises (though not necessarily about how to get the most out of your technology; that's a really great request).
I totally agree with your request; I've always wanted to learn more about art and learn more about photography, especially now that we are in the age where everyone has a very strong ability to take great photos with merely a mobile device. It may also be interesting to have a few videos on the current path of photography with relation to advancing AI camera technology and where it is all headed.

The links below aren't too in-depth but are interesting nevertheless. I hope Khan Academy is able to add some a photography course in the near future and will work to advocate too.
