How to enter fractional exponents?

In Algebra 1 - Manipulating Formulas

Problem: V = 4/3 x Pi x R^3 find R

When entering the solution (3V/4PI)^1/3 like the hints says the solution is, it allows 1 to be an exponent but when completing the /3 part of the fraction it divides the entire solution by 3 instead of allowing the exponent to be 1/3

How do I enter this to make it work?

My advice replace the / with the division sign until they fix the problem. I tried it and it worked.

I have this same problem. And using the division symbol on a laptop is a real nuisance.

I just found out. It on the Khan Academy help page:

"Fractional exponents: use the ^ symbol and put the fraction in parentheses. For example, to enter the cube root of x or x to the 1/3 power type " x^(1/3) "
