How do I check how many skills I have mastered?

To view how many skills you have mastered, you first need to go to your dashboard. Then if you look to the left of the homepage (see image below), there will be a button called "Progress". Click that.

From there you can adjust whatever settings you need.

The Anonymous, I'm trying to check but I still can't find it. Can you please add more steps?

The anonymous's way to do it was removed several months ago, because the thing was running on very old,  slow code.

We can prepare it using progress and clicking upon the third dropdown bar and choose Mastery Challenges. You all can find how many skills you have mastered in a particular exercise. You calculate all of them and find your skills.

This is more complex than the 1st commenter (https://support.khanacademy.org/hc/en-us/profiles/388331230452-The-Anonymous-previously-wkr1128-), but that alternative was deleted from the Progress Menu Bar. But I found this way itself.

I adjudicated it and executed the same conclusion.

It sounds like there's no good way to do this. @Akshobhya Athawale your way works but is tedious.

We can find our skills by relying on your progress. Select progress and then click on the 1st dropdown bar and select whatever you want or select custom range. For the 2nd one, select all content. For the 3rd one, select mastery challenges. When you take a mastery challenge, you can find your skills. The ones which have a green arrow were mastered by you. You can level up on skills like this.You all can find how many skills you have mastered in a particular exercise. You calculate all of them and find your skills.I just found this way myself. Any questions?

How do you change your avatar

You click on the button that says Khan Academy at the top of the screen, and from there you click on your avatar and select the one you want.

If you go to your homepage, you can look at your level. (see below) In order to level up, you have to get proficient in the number of skills equivalent to your level. I know you didn't ask for proficient, but it's the best I can provide. If you add your level to itself for each level you are, you get the # of skills you are proficient or mastered in. Say you're level 9. Add 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + the number of skills you have proficient/mastered for your level. Say you have 5 skills left till level 10. 9-5 is 4, so add 4. After this, you get 40 skills proficient or mastered.

Do the levels count only for skills that were mastered, or for any proficient skills?

Any proficient skills will count, hasi:)

also, sometimes simply counting up the mastered squares doesn't work, because, for example, some lessons are in both 8th grade math and pre-algebra, so it says you've done it in both...

Short answer: you cant.

You actually can: just count normally it will probably take hours if you mastered a lot of skills tho
