Khan Academy Pixar in a Box Storytelling community discussion

Hello Khan Academy students anyone out there already working on there characters etc.?

Okay I took the "What if" exercise and have been really working hard on khanacademy.org when a what if idea came along with the Big History project the next lesson we will develop character which I can't wait because I need to build strong characters etc. until then ideas for this storyboard I am coming up with are starting to come along.

Here is my " What if"

Imagine a Cartoon Movie

The Character is Earth 

After the big bang and earth being born he has to find a way to be like the other planets that are his brothers(mars,jupiter,pluto etc.)and his sister(venus) set off to go to Milky Way University (school) only to be fought by a evil villain named Dark Matter which will do anything to prevent Earth from becoming his true destiny but along the way he discovers someone special who calls himself the creator of the universe he will help earth become who he is meant to be but first earth must set out and stop the evil villian dark matter from destroying the entire universe and preventing Earth from being the hero he truly is he will discover that his family is there to support him, to his teacher the sun which will help him be a hero and some comet and star friends along the way come along and discover how earth became the hero before Dinasours,humans etc. roam the planet.

I hope I can share my studies and all of us along the way of how our own projects, storyboards at the end of 2017 come along it would be exciting way to celebrate what Pixar has taught us along the way I truly having a joyful time learning everything about animation,storytelling etc. still got lots to learn but thankful for khanacademy.org.

Its early morning and I have drawn scene 1 part of learning Pixars in a Box Storytelling lesson.

What I drew is the beginning of the story I learned allot from the Big History project in khanacademy.org which help inspired me also in drawing this.

Scene 1 is when the universe first began.

Once upon a time eons ago in a place we called the universe.

For me I am using crayons and some markers so I thought what if when the universe started what would it look like in a cartoon version? and it made me wonder with all the colors for Dark energy etc. Is kinda purple and black and the sun being orange red so I decided to really to add color to this drawing.

I plan to use Microsoft paint and try to make some animated gif images as part of my learning plan for this lesson I am having allot of fun and can't wait til we all share globally what Disney's Pixar in a Box helps us create until then I have read so many want to work at Pixar here is a website created by Pixar showing what its like to work for them!

Okay part of my learning I wanted to create my animations again like I did in the past in this small little place online I opened up a blog when I was young I ended using a online gif creator and just a simple program like windows microsoft paint with my mouse I could draw images etc. I finally have started up my animation again this is a Disney Pixar ball version I created I truly love the lessons they provide I am making sure I work hard to develop valuable skills with the exercises and lessons they provide. I also worked hard to resemble a ball being thrown etc. as working with the idea of gravity and physics.

I am really looking forward to learning all about storytelling from a character standpoint but until then I am working on practicing fractions as Pixar in box teachers stories and characters can come from any environment including our own in this drawing I created the fractionator as fractions always been a difficult in mathematics for me I created this villain and of course the hero's are Khan Academy as khanacademy.org will help me learn fractions.

As I keep on working hard I have to say the lessons have been so valuable to me I have been able to write and draw and write new ideas and characters.

I can wait for the next lessons in the course are you excited for Pixar in a box Characters lesson that is coming soon?

Next Lesson on Characters will be up in a weeks time until then I am doing some 2d animation until the lesson comes out.
