Stuck on Playlist Maker with nested query IN Challenge

In Step 3 of the Playlist Challenge, we are asked to  finish creating the `Pop` playlist by adding

another query that will select the title of all the songs from the Pop artists.  It should use IN on a nested subquery that's based on your previous query.

You have passed Step 2.  So, you have a query that selects the names of all of the artists from the `Pop` genre.  What you want to do is copy that query and use it inside an `IN` clause of a new query that selects the `title` from `songs` where there is an artist in the previous query. 

Look at the query from Step 1 for a model.  That query selects the `title` where `artist` is equal to a specific name.  Now, you want a query that selects the `title` where `artist` is in the results of query that selects the names of all of the artists from the `Pop` genre.

Yes, I know what the assignment is. ...I think? Honestly it's very confusing just reading the assignment on step 3.   

See the problem is I've tried to do it and I'm only getting errors, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.    

I'm not sure what I did wrong with my `SELECT`.

Edit: Re-reading one of your paragraphs, do I just have to reverse my indented query situation?    
Edit 2: I tried this and still can't make it work. Not sure what to do.    

I'm now trying:

SELECT title FROM songs WHERE title IN (SELECT genre FROM artists WHERE genre = "Pop");

And it's still not giving me any syntax errors but the assignment isn't done. :/

This is really confusing...

In this example, you are asking for a list of titles where the title is in a list of genres.  What you want is a list of titles where the artist for the title is in a list of artists that were identified as Pop artists.  You identified a list of Pop artists in Step 2.

I thought that's what I did in my last update, but I guess I missed something.

Apparently I just got really confused about what to do with the back and forth between two tables as it was set up while also trying to remember how the SQL code works.

I found the functioning code and have now moved on.
