Is there a way to restrict student access to content? I understand we do not want to discourage learning of any kind, but I want to help focus students on assignments. I have students who are not doing the assigned work and are instead completing other Kahn (unassigned) work. It'd be a helpful option to have students only have access to assigned work, if they need this as a modification, to help them focus.

I completely understand and appreciate your concerns about your students accessing content that's appropriate for them. Please know we welcome your feedback, and we also understand that no curriculum will work for everyone and that you’ll want to follow your judgment as a parent and/or teacher regarding what content your child should have access to and how they use Khan Academy.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to restrict access to content. If your students are working on content that you've specifically assigned, I suggest continuing to remind them to go back to their assignments list as soon as they complete an assignment.
Alternatively, if you use Google Classroom, you may find it useful to post the assignments there as well, which may help students stay focused on what they need to do. However, please note that you will still need to assign the content on Khan Academy in order to be able to view their assignment scores.

There isn't a way to block certain courses directly within Khan Academy, however you may be able to block specific webpages using your internet browser or other parental control features.
Blocking the following addresses should work:
