I'm wondering if any of you have found a way to monitor/Motivate student progress (leveling up) on math skills?

Hello All, I'm wondering if any of you have found a way to monitor/Motivate student progress (leveling up) on math skills? I've found that using the progress tools available basically shows the number of problems completed and the total time spent doing the problems. By expecting a certain number complete, kids are just cranking through the problems to get 'em done with little regard for why they made an error. Any suggestions? Tia
