Sort students by last name.

Aloha,

Mahalo Khan Academy I love all the resources! It just takes me a long time to log scores. I created my class using my Google Classroom. This automatically created the students account for them with the format, "First Last". I would like to know if it can be programed, like Google Classroom, to sort by last name. I know I can go in and edit their name with the order of "Last, First". However, that defeats the ease of importing my students from Google Classroom. I donʻt have time to change 130 student names. Please let me know if sorting by last name is an option in the future.

Hello all! The default for Student Name is their email account or username you created for them. It would be difficult to sort by last name within an email account. I agree changing all the display names is a pain - I have about 270 students. Perhaps the solution would be to add a step in the creating account process in which students add their first and last names and then the option to sorted by either first or last name could be added. Please let me know if you have any further questions, comments, or suggestions. Thank you for posting.

Even though the Khan developers are aware of this feature request I still encourage users to Submit a request and choose I have a feature request or feedback and explain exactly what you would like added and why.
