Logic and critical thinking are some of the most important skills for the "hard" sciences, but the teaching of these analytical skills is severely lacking in the educational system. We should teach these skills so that students of Khan Academy can learn not just simple information, but also discover how to think for themselves and to navigate through this world of bias and misinformation. Formal logic in the form of logical notation and truth tables would be very useful.

Unit 1: Critical Thinking in Wireless Philosophy course could use a unit test. This is for informal logic in the near-term, so teachers can assign unit mastery goals.
But a mastery-based formal logic course, in the longer run, would be fascinating too! There's many formal logic open-access ebooks that can be repurposed for articles, and the KA math exercises format works well for logic too.
Prof. Bryan Roberts at the LSE actually used an earlier version of KA open-source code to build a formal logic platform, USC Logic Web: it doesn't have mastery system, but it's identical to the 2010 Khan Academy. KA could actually reach out to him and build a fuller logic course.

Hi Andrew, Thank you for reading and sharing the feedback! Adding the unit test and mastery would be a mighty useful first step for the Wi-Phi critical thinking unit.
Later, exercises for cognitive biases, and new formal logic lessons, can be added, using perhaps the resources I'd shared earlier. This expanded content could be a standalone course.
But adding in a unit test to critical thinking in itself would be a hugely useful addition.
