PSAT Total score

Hi Amogh,

Based on my research from universities etc. 1520 is the new 2016 PSAT percentiles please read article giving a in depth look at the PSAT scoring system

May I ask where are you studying your PSAT book, website etc. ? If so it could be based before 2016 new scoring system was put in place and it means the materials are outdated.

Now based on the older scoring system 1600 was the max for PSAT so 1590 is a really good score and likely are high on the percentile list ☺.

This score was on the KhanAcademy PSAT Practice Test 3.And for Practice Tests 1 and 2, my scores were 1400 and 1490 respectively.In fact all my answers were correct except for 2 in Reading.This is the reason I am confused.

Hi, Amogh - we're glad to hear that your students are getting ready for the PSAT-NMSQT with Khan Academy's help. Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy is a partnership with The College Board, the company who creates the SAT.

The total score on the PSAT/NMSQT practice test is the sum of the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Section score and the Math Section score. The result is the total score on the PSAT/NMSQT Practice Test, on a scale of 320–1520.
