[Question] Points System

I'm rather new to the Khan Accademy system. After starting today and taking my first diagnostic exam, I was told I received a number of points. For example, 15000 points for just finishing the test. Could the point system be explained to me? Perhaps it could be explained further in the LSAT prep course what the purpose of points are.
