Hi so I’m going back to college for a second bachelors degree in biochemistry in about a year and I want to refresh myself with the chemistry and algebra. I know I’ll have to do up to calculus 2 and do up to organic chemistry 2. I took chemistry 1 but didn’t pass the class. I was on khan academy and I saw there is a ‘AP/college chemistry class’ and a ‘chemistry library’. Any idea what the difference between AP/college chemistry and chemistry library is? If so which one would I use to review and prepare myself for Chemistry 1? Same thing with Algebra.

Hi Bobby,

If you're not planning on taking the AP Chemistry exam, then I would suggest going with the regular Chemistry course. This is going to include a lot more content and be more comprehensive, since it has a wider scope than the AP version.

For math, I would suggest starting with the Algebra 1 course. The standard course progression for most U.S. high schools is Algebra 1 --> Geometry --> Algebra 2 --> Precalculus --> Calculus 1 --> Calculus 2, so this would be a good path to take if you're looking for a comprehensive review.

If you don't have time to complete all of the courses, then I suggest taking the Course Challenge or Unit Tests in each of them to help you quickly identify which skills you have already mastered and which skills you may need to review.
