New avatars, removed backgrounds

Khan Academy should start bringing back the backgrounds and make a dark mode setting. Also, what petition?

PETITION SIGNED! I have not been online since early 2020, meaning I had no idea this happened. Now that the backgrounds have been removed, there is not much stuff on my profile for me to grind for. Now all I need to get is Baby Winston, but there used to be many Energy Points that you needed to get and show that you had that much. Anyway, this is the longest comment I have made today, so I am gonna end it there.

Yeah bring back the backgrounds, or at least give a reason why they were removed.

I agree, it does look plain and boring without background. The avatars look good but the sacrifice of backgrounds was not worth it.

Now, you can use the extension to see your background. But sadly can't be changed.

I sign too! I didn't have an account when backgrounds were a thing, but hearing about them makes me want to see them! I hope Khan Academy will give them back! Petition DEFINITELY signed!

I got enough points to get the beautiful blue space background, then it got removed. It makes no sense why they would do that! I think they should put the retired badges back too, they and the background were so fun to earn points towards.
