While I grant that it can be useful to know the U.S. currency and especially the U.S. Customary System, I think these are not strictly mathematical (and thus universal) subjects and to make Khan Academy more accessible to English speakers not residing in the U.S. I would suggest that these parts be made optional, by either adding an option in the settings or by (re)moving them.
