I have an idea for a new coding course - API. I think Khan Academy should teach API, as it is very useful in HTML webpages, and so that we wouldn't have to go over the big trouble of updating it ourselves. I think we would really learn from it. We should have an API coding course on Khan Academy, or at least have lessons for it on some of the HTML courses. Please take my thoughts into consideration!

I also do think that it would be pretty cool if they had an API course on Khan Academy, but I think Khan Academy mainly focuses on creating and developing different codes and programs both in a learning way but also in an online interactive way. Not sure if they would or are considering applicating API into a totally new section on Khan Academy, though it would be interesting.
With the current limitations of the KA API from within the KA editor, it doesn’t make sense to have an entire course on the subject. All it would be teaching would be GET requests. Maybe adding a lesson or two with the basics would be nice and some documentation would definitely be cool.
But for there to be an entire new course, KA would have to open up PUT, POST, and DELETE requests to the general community to have enough content. These kinds of requests are really cool because instead of just getting data, you can manipulate it. Unfortunately, these requests can also be used to hijack someone’s account. Even if KA only taught the safe requests, they’d need some serious infrastructure in their editor to disallow this kind of malicious code. It doesn’t make sense for them to go to all that work.
I’d be more interested in a course on Regular Expressions or even one on a new language.
