Music in games is very important. It would be nice if there was music support in the processing environment- or maybe just allowing people to do a certain type of synth. I've seen a few, like Squishy's piano roll editor, and I'd really like it if the guidelines were edited so that would be allowed. I'd probably not be the only one.
I know that recently Khan academy has changed its rules a bit. Evan Lewis says that now its fine to use sine oscillators in the webpage environment as long as you aren't doing anything obnoxious with them (making really loud high pitch noises, or starting sound before the user interacts with the program, etc). Custom sounds made with oscillators are only allowed in the webpages environment though because less people use the webpage environment and the people who do are less likely to misuse them (I guess Squishy's piano roll editor was an exception). Using oscillators you can create music in a game. But if you wanted more complex music than the standard retro 8 bit style music from an oscillator you would need to use AudioContext, but I don't know if that's allowed. I have tried using it and it works, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be using it. I also think there should be a way to add music for PJS programs. I think that KA could easily add some instrument notes to the allowed audio files in the audio picker and then PJS programs could be a lot more fun.
