If you want to test out of a course, try the course challenge.  To test out of a unit, do the unit test.  If you think you can skip part of the unit, but not the whole thing, you can do the quiz covering the part you think you can skip, then do the exercises for the rest, or you can skip those exercises entirely and just cover them in the unit test.
