A report aligned to Common Core State Standards

The problem is that the state standards are not the same as khan’s mastery levels. Last I knew, state standards were assessed at not meeting grade level expectations, progressing, meeting and beyond grade level. Khan only measures within one skill or course. They can tell you if a student has started the material, but they can’t tell you if the student mastered the previous course (so is at the beginning of the year) or needs remediation to fix holes from previous years (unless you assign previous courses, like I do). They CAN tell you if a student is progressing (attempted, familiar) and they can tell you if they meet state standards for the grade level (proficient and mastered). Unless you assign the next course (like I do), they can’t tell you if the student is above grade level.

While a standard might stretch across grade levels, there are still different topics within that standard that are meant for the different grade levels. 

Khan measures student ability/progress for each topic. Standards usually contain more than one topic within that grade level standard. This would allow an analysis on how close a student is to mastering the standard at grade level. 

I guess we there would need to be an option to select which grade level a class is, or which grade level we would like to view the report in.
