Economics Evolution

I have gone through all the lectures on Economics on Khan Academy. Truely amazing content. Would like to know information on 2 more questions:

1) Evolution of economy on high level. As this is a complex system, especially central reserve bank can control economy(control inflation/deflation). I really want to know the germination of this complex system.

2) Loopholes/exploitations found in history in the economics.
