Request to add a Hour of animation course
We have the hour of coding, and it is fun. You can do anything with it. Games, drawings, jokes, software, "apps", websites, databases, simulations... the list goes on forever. There is something else that has infinite possibilities, and is fun to the max as programming, and that would be animation. I like to do animation in flip-books, just making whatever I want to make alive.
Animation can be just more then a creative list of drawings flipped at a certain speed. I could imagine teaching with animation. Sal usually draws, but sometimes it is hard to understand. What if you saw what what happening right in front of you? I actually took what I learned from a video and made it into a flip-book, and I think I learned it even better, just by making an animation. Flip-books can also make dreams come true. I always had ideas for an animation, but I thought that I needed the computer software that Disney has. But all I needed for animation was right in front of me: paper and pencil.
It doesn't take advance drawing skills or complicated tools to do so, just like how you don't need to pay for software in order to program. Andymation (https://www.youtube.com/user/andymation/videos) shows that all you need is to know how to put a pencil on a sheet of paper, and a light source.
