*Math problem* - Line plots

If anyone didn't understand what I meant to say- Isn't the question should be like "How many more jumps were 3 1/2 feet long than were 6 1/4 feet long like the below question in the screenshot-

I understood the above problem as- there are about (5)five footprints of 46 1/2cm long & (2)two footprints of 48 1/2cm long-

So, there are about 5-1=4 more footprints that are 46 1/2cm long than are 48 1/2cm long.

So, back to the question I first posted- am I confused with the grammar or is the question wrong. Correct me if I am wrong. Thank you once again :D

The first question is similar to the second question, it is just worded differently.

The first question is asking us the difference of frogs that jumped to 3 1/2 feet and 6 1/4 feet. 3 frogs jumped to 3 1/2 feet, while 1 frog jumped to 6 1/4. The difference would be 3-1, which is 2. 

Yeah! If we see it as the 'difference' in the number of frogs which jumped to 3 1/2 feet and 6 1/4 feet it makes sense.

Yesterday I went with another point of view like the 'quantity/number' of frogs which jumped to 3 1/2 and 6 1/4 feet, where I thought the first question is asking us how many less number of frogs jumped to 6 1/4 feet high compared to 3 1/2 feet height. So, the answer would be 1 frog, because only 1 frog jumped to 6 1/4 feet compared to 3 1/ feet where 3 frogs jumped that high.

Can you tell me where I am going wrong in the above paragraph? we can think of the question like that too, right?

I mean, I am getting a little confused on what is going on here, but I think I understand what you mean.

The original question is different from the "quantity" question because the quantity question is just asking how many frogs jumped to a specific number of feet. The orginal question was asking the difference of frogs that jumped to 3 1/2 feet, then 6 1/4 feet.
