Organize Assignments in Students' View by Order Assigned

I am not sure how the website organizes assignments in the "Upcoming Assignments" section. I previously saw that they were listed to students in order that I assigned them, but after an update that added the "previous" and "next" options to show assignments on multiple pages, I found that the assignments I assigned were not displayed in any discernible order. This is extremely frustrating as a teacher as I can now no longer describe assignments to students as "the last 2 I assigned" and even if I mention the names of the assignments, students are frustrated when they have to search multiple pages to find them (because they are not on the same page nor listed alphabetically).

Ultimately I would ask that you get rid of the multiple pages of assignments and organize them based on the order I assigned them to students. Thank you!

The assignments are ordered by their date due time. So the ones with the most recent due date (the closer the due date to now is) will appear at the top.

I'm sure the KA team will consider your request.

I do notice that students have the ability to change how things are sorted by clicking the title of the column, but for multiple assignments with the same date due there seems to be no discernible order.

Hi Mr. Bates,

Assignments are currently sorted based on their due date. I believe the assignments were sorted by due date even before the update that added the pages.

To get assignments sorted in a particular order, some teachers have added a due time to their assignments. So for example, the assignment they want at the top would be due at 11:55 pm, and the next assignment would be due at 11:56 pm, etc.

With the most recent update we made it so that students can view all of their past assignments, not just assignments from the last 30 days. Since this will allow students to view many more assignments than before, individual pages of assignments were necessary to keep the list of assignments from being excessively long.
