Students given multiple chances to answer assessments

If a student answers a question incorrectly, they can keep submitting other answers until they either answer the question correctly or choose the "skip question" option. There is not a way to disable this feature. However, only the first answer submitted is used to calculate their quiz/test score and mastery level.

So if a student is randomly clicking answers, they will not be able to increase their mastery level or earn a high score unless they can consistently guess correctly. If a student re-attempts the quiz/test to earn a better score, they will receive different questions than their previous attempts. Questions will only repeat if all other questions in the bank have previously been shown to the student. You can monitor for this behavior by checking the number of assignment attempts that the student completed. To access this information, go to the Assignments --> Manage tab and click on the text under the "Completed" column.

Additionally, if a student answers a question incorrectly, they also have the ability to use the "Start Over" option. This will entirely restart the quiz/test attempt, but with different questions. There's not an option to disable this feature either. They would likely have to do this many times to see duplicate questions, and you can also monitor this by checking the number of assignment attempts.
