Pamela Fox Badge

That would be a great idea, but perhaps to make it more related to what Pamela has done, we could make it a badge for 3+ votes on ___ questions, sort of like the Oracle Badge. I think it makes sense this way, seeing as Pamela has reached us coding, it would make sense for the badge to be for teaching others too. An alternative could be answer help requests.

Legolas, what if the badge would be for releasing at least one graphic program and one game? If each program reached over 10+ votes then the person would get the badge. I would actually suggest that it be a challenge patch since most of the programming badges are challenge patches. I would however like to see energy points come with it, the same as you said. Anyway, great idea-Perseus.

Sounds like a great idea to me. :) Pamela really helped us all through the programming progress. It'd be so cool to have a badge after her. CarbonPenguin's idea of the badge being for questions/help requests sounds good as well.

I completely agree with all of that. Programming would not be the same if it wasn't for Pamela.

Some badges are named after famous people known all around the world, and even though Pamela might not be known all around the world, all programmers in Khan Academy know about here. If you think about it, you would realize that there are programmers from all around the world in khan academy. So Pamela is known around the world.

I agree. I think that Pamela definitely deserves having a badge named after her for all that she has done for us. Both yours and CarbonPenguin's ideas are very good. Either one would be great!

This is a really good idea. I 100 percent support this. Pamela really helped us all learn programming and she should have her own badge for helping all the learners at khan acdemy. Please consider this idea.

Hmm... Nice idea! Though you should change the requirement of having 3+ votes. As we all know, the number of votes one has is not a very reliable mark of skill. Maybe instead of having the requirement of reaching a certain amount of votes on your program, you could set the requirement of something like "15 Help Requests Answered"? Or maybe a certain amount of Programming Challenges Completed?

I really like the idea of having a badge in honor of Pamela though! She fully deserves it, after she has taught so much.

I really wouldn't have been interested into programming if it wasn't for Pamela! :-]

All of you guys' ideas are great! It's not necessarily about what you have to do/accomplish to get the badge, it would be about having a badge named after Pam. I hope they implement this badge. Is there any chance you guys could create tickets requesting this as well?
