Placement Test
Is there a way to give a student a placement test so he does't unnecessarily go through skills he already knows?

Please reinstate how Khan Academy used to be, where there was a placement test and star chart. The new set-up isn't at all helpful.
In case anyone is here in 2024, the final test of any unit test or course challenge will give you an assessment of your level in all skills covered in that unit/course, and recommend units to work on if needed. For example, if you are trying to assess your child's math level, you could have them take these course challenges in order: Early Math Review > Grade 2 > Grade 3 > etc.
Adult learner here, just reiterating what was mentioned before. A placement test would be useful to understand which courses I need to watch and which I can skip. I've tried taking random course challenges but it takes a lot of time.
I may not be a teacher or something, but i am a student and is that not who all of this is directed to help? A placement test would greatly help teachers in classes, and students like me who are wanting to learn, but anytime i try to find something it is either way too easy and just repetitive, or i have had no context for it. A placement test would help everyone involved, especially because there are no other good learning platforms that are free. Another vote for placement tests
I worry funding has caused the removal of the placement test. This is an amazing resource that people use globally, but if your funders what learners in boxes, you build boxes. Continue that trend and the niche leadership role degrades. Please consider independent learners and restate an NWEA-style placement test. Be transparent with funding supply and demand so like-minded people help keep Khan at the front of truly differentiated math education.
