Adding student with existing account

Hi Tricia,

I am assuming you are their teacher, and you need them added to your class. the way you should be able to do this is like so:

You first need to make a class.(If you already have one, skip this part)

1. Click your name in the top right corner of your KA account.

2. Click Add Students in the list that shows up.\/

3. Click Add Class. \/

4. Name your class and click Next. \/

5.Select which subject(or subjects) will be taught in your class, and click Next. \/

6. You will have come to a page that says, "Add Students."

Write down that code. You will need it later. (you can see it in the picture below-it is indicated with a red arrow.)

(By the way, if you see a page after that one that say, "Add your Location, you can choose to do that, or you can click Skip, which is right beside Next.)

Let's try to now add your students.

.First, you have your student(s) open/log in to their Khan Academy account.

1. Have them go to the Khan Academy Home Page.

2.Click Coaches. \/

3. Simply have them type in that code that you wrote down earlier, and they will automatically join your class. You can see the place where they do that here: \/

Anyhow, I'll keep helping others as I am able too :)

I just wanted to add to Alex(Prometheus)'s reply. If your students are still getting an error message about other coaches, they may need to have their parent go to their parent dashboard, click on their child's account, 'teachers",  and then check the box to "allow your child to add other teachers". Then they can enter the class code just below that to join for them as well.
