Personally you can skip these lessons if you need too unless your Teacher assigns them to you. The fact your saying your having troubles with the video may mean it's a older version could you post a link to the video (url) that you found difficult to read.

One solution is to enlarge the video , to full screen, next play and pause, or read the transcript I personally had troubles with many math subjects sometimes you have to rewatch or play and pause until I fully understand the concept. We often learn from what we don't know then what we do know if you ever feel frustrated from learning the subject then take a break and move on to other lessons, for example pixar in a box is a fun way to learn math :) perhaps you can take your break and study the lessons and later go back to the subject you had troubles with :).
