I believe there should be energy points for articles. A way to measure it? Maybe a timer. And if a person is "reading" an article for over thirty minutes, then stop the energy point count. Depending on article length of course. And, I also think it would be awesome if Khan Academy made the amount of points per minute, but preferably per seconds proportional to that of videos.
I think you should be awarded a low amount for explainatory material, e.g. articles and videos. The problem sets and unit tests should be the real source of energy points.
After all, teachers in schools also don't care if you read the textbooks as long as you're understanding the subject!
well, I can see why you would say we should get energy points for articles as well but if that was so, people could literally use this as an advantage to get energy points super easily. For example, they could leave an article open and not read one thing and easily generate free energy points for 30 minutes straight depending on the amount per minute.
