I am a learner who seeks help from Khan Academy for wide variety of concepts.
My only intention to use KA is for learning new concepts.
It so happened once that I accidentally assigned myself a role of a teacher.
Hence the account for both (being a student and teacher) is same and so if I delete my account I would lose my points (on being a learner).
I would hence request help from the KA Help Center to permanently disable my role as a teacher.

There is no need to do that, even though you have teacher access doesn't mean you have to use them. For example, teachers too are learners, they learn deeply from what they teach. While as you said you are in fact a learner but once you learn all the secrets of the world, what sanctification is there if you have no one to share them with. Also even while you have the role as the teacher it won't affect any of your progress or lessons it's just an extra bar.
Hi Anirudh Kaushik, changing your role on Khan Academy is easy.
When you are logged into your account you can:
Click your nickname up in the right hand corner.
Scroll down to Roles.
Untick the Teacher role box
(You may have to change the Home page type below it if that is not automatic)
Click Save changes.
Should you enter a teaching role later you can simply tick the box again!
